Jazz and Poetry a little spot for notes & words to dance

About

Happiness just might be...
Dancing to joyful music.
Listening to soulful music.
Playing with amazing musicians and becoming better because of their influence.
Finding a cool river or lake on a hot day to play in with my dog.
Reading a well written book that changes my perspective or mood.
Laughing out loud as many times a day as possible.
Finding balance between chaos and structure that allows for pure joy and a peaceful mind.

  1. Thrilled out of my mind to see that you will be with us @ MPAC’s 4th of July WNC Block Party Wendi!

  2. Thanks, the Red Hot Sugar Babies are a lot of fun.

  3. We enjoyed your music at Biltmore and love your poetry. Jerry

Hi Wendi, what a great time we had listening to your vocals, clarinet too and the Red Hot Sugar Babies’ music. Your writings, song lyrics and poetry are meaningful and all have, what I believe, a personal message. Jerry and I even commented that our political views are all on the same page. We would really like to know where and when the group is scheduled to perform. It will surely be worth the trip! We don’t even know how to get on Facebook or Twitter as you suggested, but really do not want to learn. We both have full days as it is and personally we like to talk to one another in person, even after 48 yers together.
The girls, guy too, were all outstanding musicians!
    Best regards. Susan

  4. Thank you Jerry & Susan! It was a pleasure to meet you Saturday. I know that next up this week we have a show Wednesday night at 6:30pm at the Wedge in Asheville & then Thursday we’ll be at the Purple Onion in Saluda 7-9pm. You can always send me an email to wendi@jazzandpoetry.com to check in with us as well. I even still call people and talk to them on the phone occasionally & find that better than facebook or twitter too.
